Kristen McGovern is a nationally recognized health policy expert and founding partner of Sirona Strategies. She works with decision makers inside and outside government to advance critical policy changes needed to support delivery system transformation, including Medicare payment policy, interoperability, digital health, AI/ML and value-based care. Kristen is the co-founder of the Health IT Leadership Roundtable, a forum that brings together leading health care trade associations to find consensus on cross-cutting health IT issues. She co-chairs the National Health Care Value Week, an annual call to action for continued adoption of value-based care models, and directs several value-based care coalitions, including the Partnership to Empower Physician-Led Care (PEPC).
Prior to launching Sirona Strategies, Kristen served as Chief of Staff to the National Coordinator for Health IT at HHS and at the Office of Management and Budget in the Executive Office of the President. She is a sought-after expert commentator and has appeared on MSNBC’s Mehdi Hassan Show, LRVHealth’s Healthcare is Hard, Change Healthcare’s Changing Healthcare podcast, Gist’s Healthcare Daily, Xtelligent Healthcare Media, among others. Kristen holds a BA from Creighton University and a JD with an emphasis in health law from Saint Louis University School of Law.
