Ashila Jiwani, MS, MBA

Director

Ashila Jiwani brings expertise in health policy, advocacy, communications, and content development. At Sirona Strategies, she works on both federal and state policy, focusing on Medicaid and policies that address non-medical drivers of health. Her work is guided by a multidisciplinary approach and a commitment to practical, person and community centered, solution-oriented strategies.

Before joining Sirona, Ashila worked in the nonprofit sector, leading advocacy strategies focused on health care legislation rooted in increasing access to services for vulnerable populations. She previously served as the Georgia Clinical Director for MobileVAX, advising Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE) on COVID-19 vaccination rollout strategies. In this role, she oversaw clinical training, pharmacy and procurement management, and public health safety protocols. She also helped pilot Georgia’s mobile vaccination teams, covering 75% of the state’s South-Central public health districts and ensuring vaccine access for underserved communities.

Ashila has worked on health care access initiatives for immigrant families and has experience working with Medical Legal Partnerships at the intersection of health care, law, and policy. She is particularly interested in integrating multidisciplinary teams into health care delivery and increasing the role of nurses in decision-making. Her research has focused on sexual and reproductive health, maternal health, and school-based health centers.

Beyond policy, Ashila has helped organizations develop communications strategies and create engaging content to enhance outreach and political engagement. She has presented research on gaps in federal nutrition assistance programs at the American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting.

Ashila holds a Master of Science from Georgetown University, an MBA with a focus on health care management and integrative business from Mercer University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Global Health Studies from Mercer University. She is trained in political communications strategy by Arena Academy and is also a registered nurse specializing in clinical nurse leadership.
