Eliana is a recent graduate from Wesleyan University with a BA in History and the Science in Society Program, with a focus in the history of science, technology and medicine. She wrote her senior thesis on the development of pain management as a medical specialty and how physician advocacy organizations influenced state and federal pain policies in the decades leading up to the opioid crisis. Prior to working at Sirona Strategies, Eliana completed summer internships at Aledade, Inc. and the Alliance of Community Health Plans. She is also an experienced patient advocate and blogger for migraine and neurological disorders.
At Sirona, Eliana is focusing on a variety of health policy issues including prescription drug policy, Medicare and Medicaid financing, Managed Care Organizations, value-based healthcare and pricing, and social determinants of health.
