- On August 20, Reps. Bean (R-FL) and Salazar (R-FL) introduced the Prompt Reporting and Oversight for Medicare Providing Transparency (PROMPT) Act (H.R. 9384), which would require the Secretary of Health and Human Services to provide an explanation of benefits not later than 30 days after an item or service is furnished under the Medicare program.
